Medieval Days – Fall Camp 2016
October 8, 2016 - October 9, 2016| $2.00
Join us for the 2016 Medieval Fall Camp. Cooler temps and less bugs make this a very comfortable event to partake of and bring your cloak. Remember though that this is northern Minnesota and as such the weather can be a bit ornery.
Meet the members of the Willensstark Fahnlein Medieval Camp. Sample some authentic medieval food, handle a sword, throw a spear, learn what it took to survive and thrive in northern Europe over 500 years ago!
This event is open to the public and new medieval camps and vendors are welcome to participate!
This year you won’t want to miss the Peasant Pottage Feed on Saturday!!!
Starting at 1pm, we will have authentic 15th century Pottage, a vegetable and meat (beef today) soup and fresh bread and butter for $5.00 available here at the Great Hall.
This is a public event and one that we are trying to develop into a larger presentation. The Fall Camp is a little more relaxed and laid back; the cooler weather and no bugs is a great boon and makes pulling out the cloaks and having a warm fire more worthwhile. We put more emphasis on educational workshops and demos. We’ll have axe throwing and spear throwing. A big 15th century pottage feed on Saturday, a woodworker, a leatherworker, and a blacksmith! Everyone is welcome to attend!
Children 10 and under are Free!
